“Helping Marketplace Leaders understand the Passion & Purpose of a Kingdom Vision”

There has been a recent rise in the word “Coaching” to replace the idea of Christian counseling or consulting to marketplace leaders who want to follow a Kingdom Vision.

There is a huge difference between sharing the gift that God gave you for free and allow the receiver to donate a love offering and  a requirement of fee-upfront for service.

Today there are many groups and associations that claim to help Christian Business Leaders who have a Kingdom Vision.. Consulting and coaching have become acceptable words in the 21st century to merchandize the Gospel. Most of these groups are joined by Christian Business owners and CEO’s to increase their exposure among the Christian Community and gain clients. The bottom line is still to profit from the Christian community. Most of them charge fees like the world to have access to the success programs, or to give you advice. The inner workings of  this so called “Christian coaching” is the same as the inner workings of the world. They say, “I have the wisdom, experience, and know-how to help you succeed, and if you want it you need to pay for it.”

The only other profession that works like that is prostitution which is  based on the same premise of fear. Once you get what you need, they don’t trust you to remunerate them appropriately. A true servant of the Lord puts no confidence in man but in the Lord who called us.

Scripture is very clear about these things;

2 Cor 2:17 Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. NIV

2 Cor 2:17 For we are not, like so many, peddlers of God’s word, but as men of sincerity, as commissioned by God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ. ESV

PEDDLER NT:2585 GREEK kapeleuo (kap-ale-yoo’-o); from kapelos (a huckster); to retail,

i.e. To sell the Gospel at what the market will bear.

2 Peter 2:3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: KJV

MERCHANDISE NT:1710 GREEK emporeuomai (em-por-yoo’-om-ahee); from NT:1722 and NT:4198; to travel in (a country as a peddler), i.e. (by implication) to trade:

i.e. To move about selling the Gospel, such as sermon series, handouts, training manuals, lectures, and programs for a fee.

The Lord is certainly not against blessing those that share their Godly wisdom and experience with us. The Lord is against those who require the gift before the ministry. Such as a guaranteed love offering amount and expenses before someone accepts your invitation to minister.

In the world it is acceptable to expect to get from those you give to. In the Kingdom we freely give and we get as the Lord chooses, when the Lord chooses, from whomever the Lord chooses.

Usually that is never from the party we served. Otherwise the gifts we received freely from the Lord are only offered to those that can afford them.

Here is a list of some of the primary objectives which we are working on with others of like heart and mind:

Kingdom Vision Commitment to you:

  1. We will never require any membership fees or dues to participate in our events or to receive our services.
  2. We do not represent any particular group, ideology, or doctrinal belief. We understand everyone doesn’t mature at the same time.
  3. We are not looking for supporters to finance our personal vision
  4. We do not exist to teach you how to increase profits or gain wealth. That is wholly between you and the Lord.
  5. We will never be responsible for your decisions, actions, or omissions. You always have the freedom to choose even after we equip you.
  6. We are committed to treat all men the same without pride or prejudice. There will never be a VIP, Pastors, Apostles or any other highly favored seating or access to information.
  7. We believe the foundation and reason for all giving is the Love of God. The idea that only rich people are given the gift of giving is a myth.

I am aware these statements will not sit well with those that are doing exactly what I am talking about. My heart is on those who have been and continue to be merchandized. They are getting the wrong idea of the nature of the Lord Jesus Christ, and it’s man who is doing it.

The Bible clearly states that “we were bought with a price and we are not our own.” Everyone wants to discuss Kingdom from an “I want to be a King” point of view, and thousands of Christian marketplace books have been sold under this false assumption. When it says “Kings and Priests” in the Bible, it is incorrectly translating the words a “kingdom of priests” in the 1611 KJV bible . There is only one kingdom, and there is already ONE KING, and his name is Jesus Christ. Line up with Him, or just don’t use His name.

It is my prayer not that people will do as I say (I will not be your judge), but that those who serve the Lord’s people will consider what it is they do and why they are doing what they are doing.

  1. Amen Jose and many blessings. The kingdom has no hirelings only servants who serve the interests of their Master. I was once asked, “What is the reason for going into business.” I didn’t know THE answer only what I had learned in economics. I was taught “to make a profit of course.” What I finally heard was, “You go into business to honor Me.” Then he let me know that going into business for Him may involve loss rather than profit. That began me to study the scriptures to find out the economics of Jesus. Needless to say, my capitalistic Christian self had to undergo major surgery.

thanks for posting this. A hearty AMEN!!!!

    • Thanks George we have all gone through major surgery related to these things. What breaks my heart is human nature’s love for these “Business Church” practices. I am afraid in 2015 the numbers of lost people in the congregations is much greater than Billy Graham’s prediction of 75%. Before 2020 we will see the worldwide testing of the the Lord concerning our love of money.
