Thoughts on Organic Life

Organic Life

Since Organic Life is more about a Way than about a Doctrine, then our example or what we model in our daily life is more important than what we say we believe.

Since what will attract the world is what they “Taste and See”. Christ in us is the Hope of Glory so our incarnating Him should be our aim. “If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me.” Only His Cruciform Life in us will draw the world to Him.

This Cruciform life affects those around us first like leaven in bread. We affect those nearest to us first, and that works its way until entire businesses, schools, neighborhoods, cities, states and countries are affected by our Christ life.

Luke 13:20-21 And again He said, “To what shall I liken the kingdom of God? It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till it was all leavened.”

We don’t need human promotion and advertising. We are his living epistles to be read by all men. Not for us to try to convince them of the correctness of our religious doctrines and dogmas, but for our lives to so proclaim Christ that they must have what we have.

The gospel is like a wine tasting. Nobody is interested in the type of grape, the process of fermentation or the place where it comes from, unless they have been sold by that unique unforgettable taste that can’t be found anywhere else.

Two important points here as an Organic people lets quit wasting our time showing people what is wrong with the religious system and fighting over what is the right methodology for the Organic/Simple church. Let them see and experience the real Christ first.

So should our gospel be. Nobody wants to be evangelized to an idea, but if they see and experience something so utterly beautiful and rare, they will be drawn to it like bees to honey.

After tasting and seeing what happened with Paul & Silas had, it was then that the jailer said I want what you have.

Acts 16:29-30 Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

Saved to him had nothing to do with going to Heaven or avoiding Hell. The Jailer wanted to be made whole here on earth. The jailer wanted the life that Paul and Silas had. That is what Christ wants to offer to this world through us.

The Christ life is an internal life that has results externally. We are not an external life that has results internally. Let’s concentrate more on being than on doing. If we can’t even leaven our homes, we will never leaven our world.

May Father help us and keep us,

Much Love
