Understanding the Heart of a Deliverer

    Deliverer

DelivererUnderstanding this article depends on two basic premises. One, you believe that although the times and seasons are painting us a progressively darker world, you are convinced that the Lord is about to move in unprecedented ways among His people for the sake of humanity. Two, you have a heart desire to please the Lord by being a help and not a snare to those servants whom He has called to lead us out of Babylon and into the Promise Land.

Please be aware that this journey is not a physical journey but a spiritual one, as it must take place in the heart of every believer. Of course, such alignment with Heaven can only bring forth blessings to those around us and the world in which we live.

Rom 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.

God is a covenantal God and from Genesis to Revelation when He is about to move, He will reach for a leader. Christian history reveals that He never uses the one with a position, but He chooses the one in whom He has been forming a heart after Himself. So from the get go just know that man looks at external qualities and God looks upon the heart.

Why do I mention this? Because at present 95% of the church uses Wall Street values to define a Christian leaders success. Everybody wants to follow a “winner,” so like in every past move of God the majority of the church has no clue to who He is now preparing. What does this mean? It means that 95% of the Church is following the wrong person and will by nature reject the one the Lord has chosen.

1 Sam 16:7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Maybe you have been hurt in the past by leaders that did not reflect the nature of the Father and you have just had it with the word leader. Let me help you with a biblical re-definition of leadership. No leader has any place to lead in your life that has not been won by having a faithful loving relationship with you, and that has taught you more by example than by words. In short, in the New Covenant there is no place for positional leadership.

See a wonderful teaching on this subject by Stephen Crosby: https://godsleader.com/redefining-leadership/

Based on our prior discussion God help those in whom He is molding His heart for the next (and maybe final) move of God.

    Here below are some common struggles that await them;

    1. They will be rejected by their family (spouse included)

No one can hurt you like a family member. The deepest wounds will come from those who know you best. The bible is replete with examples that bear this truth. Why does this happen? They are too close to the natural you to see the spiritual you. They know your mess none too well and will be quick to remind you of where you came from and who you are according to them. Relax; the pain will only make you stronger. Don’t hold it against them, or you will frustrate the grace of God in your life.

    1. Your Faith will be questioned and your Demeanor will be misunderstood

God doesn’t call without providing you with what you will need to get the job done. When you open your mouth those who judge you will think “there he is again getting on his high horse” What they don’t understand is that it’s included in your Heavenly tool belt. You were born to lead His army even if you come from the Ghetto. How you speak has nothing to do with what is in your pocket. You were born to charge the gates of hell with what appears to be a garden hose. You are not moved to faith by the numbers who follow you, but by a rock solid foundational belief that the battle is the Lord’s. Don’t retreat! Don’t quit! Don’t look for a cave to hide in. Just have mercy on them because they simply don’t see what you see.

2 Kings 6:16-18 So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17 And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

    1. You will be tested in the fires of Suffering

This is the class they will not teach leaders in the seminary. This is also the sermon today’s crowd-pleasing preachers refuse to preach. Maybe they just can’t because they have never experienced it for themselves. The greatest and fastest way to bring a leader to maturity is to allow the fires of suffering to burn out the dross. Unanswerable pain for extended periods of time is common in the lives of God’s chosen. Years of obscurity, loneliness, loss of loved ones, and unexplained sickness are just part of our daily bread. Everything you do and everything done for you by others will be challenged by darkness. You see the enemy recognizes better than most Christians that you have been chosen before the beginning of time. Be prepared to live in a world where everything you do is contested.  My only recommendation here is to live with an attitude of gratitude to the One who makes ALL things work together for good…Your worship will break the heavy chains.

    1. Serve God or Serve mammon

This class is being taught by the Lord himself. The World and most of the Church live for wealth, fame and prosperity and God is raising up living examples to counteract this illness. These men and women will be immune to this world’s lust for riches and fame. They will be the perfect conduits by which the Lord will pass billions of dollars to the poor and needy. These leaders will not waste their time with 10 percent giving but they understand that the Lord owns 100 percent all of they have been entrusted with. Don’t waste your time looking in those huge storage buildings because they do not hold a fleet of jets but thousands of pounds of food and supplies for the hungry and those experiencing crisis. What am I saying here? Well let me share a couple of verses that are not preached today.

2 Cor 6:10 as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

2 Cor 8:9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.

You will never graduate from this class until you can walk out these two verses!

The leaders of the next move of God will have heard the Holy Spirit and will be able to model the precepts of a true kingdom economy.  This financial revolution will take the church by storm as it will in no way resemble today’s religious “tithes and offering” system. What will it look like? It will be something like when Jesus flipped the tables and drove the money changers out of His Father’s House. NOT a pretty picture!

I guess by now you have figured out I am writing to Deliverers, Pioneers, Point men and Fore-Runners. The world may never understand you, but it is critical to the process that you understand who you are in the Lord. The Father told me that there are many of you out there that are tired and at the point of giving up. Some have just pulled away to your own self-made cave thinking if you get out of the front lines the pain will stop. I’m here to tell you that GOD has not made a mistake! He knows who you are and what you are going through. You WILL live and not die!

This too shall pass and you will come forth stronger for it!

1 Peter 5:8-11 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. 10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.  11 To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

It is truly a great privilege to be entrusted with so great a stewardship for His Church and Kingdom of our Lord & Savior. May God grace us to carry it humbly when we are feeling good, and may His strength lift us out of the pit of despair or give us the perseverance to go through the storms. Remember we were created to run over the wall!

    Gen 49:22-24

22 “Joseph is a fruitful bough, A fruitful bough by a well; His branches run over the wall.
23 The archers have bitterly grieved him, Shot at him and hated him.
24 But his bow remained in strength, And the arms of his hands were made strong
By the hands of the Mighty God of Jacob

May God richly continue to blow the winds of His favor on your back!
