Where do we Go from Here? Deconstruction
You have just finished reading points that we believe are hindering the Bride from getting ready to meet her Husband. You don’t have to agree with everything you read. We don’t come to truth by persuasive speech. We come to truth by revelation and enlightment from the Holy Spirit. These human invented doctrines and traditions have kept the Body of Christ weak, malnourished and ineffective in her quest to see things on earth are they are in Heaven.
To build again we must first go through a process of spiritual deconstruction. Years of human invented doctrines and traditions have attached themselves to us like barnacles to a ship’s hull. Our natural tendency is to quickly build again but for a time we should not be building anything. For a time, we should allow the Holy Spirit to work to scrape away the years of bad theology and human invented religious traditions. The problem is we don’t know what we don’t know. We must stop our religious doings and concentrate on being and becoming the Body of our Lord on the earth. We must be patient with ourselves. There is our personal deconstruction going on and at the same time the Lord is deconstructing the Body as a whole. The more as a Body we are united the faster the results.
This deconstruction will not be an easy process, and our greatest enemy will be those we have been teaching the wrong things to. Human invented religion is a sickness, and we will experience withdrawals just like a drug addict that leaves behind his drugs. Many have left the buildings and moved into house churches claiming to be free. Leaving the system physically may help but it will not permanently change you. Leaving the building to do bible studies in homes is not the answer. The problem is much deeper than that. Our problem is within.
To properly begin that process we must put our bibles, commentaries and books aside. We need to focus on our relationship with the Holy Spirit. Only the Holy Spirit can deconstruct because only the Holy Spirit was left to guide us to all truth. Truth we will learn on this journey is not a set of properly arranged rules and dogmas. TRUTH is a person and His name is the Lord Jesus Christ.
Most of us have always been loners because religion breeds division and strife. It’s time to intentionally focus on our relationships with spiritual fathers and peers who know how to hear from the Holy Spirit and are not ashamed to be authentic, transparent and humble. Since the real Church, the Body of Christ on earth is the pillar and ground of the truth our safety will be found there.
For over 15 years I have walked this deconstruction process with a group of brothers. We maintain communication via phone calls, social media groups, and a bimonthly Zoom call. Looking back today these relationships have spurred me to greater deconstruction and kept me from veering off to follow tangents. I see them like the safety net placed under the trapeze artists. We are each free to fly but we will catch each other if someone slips. Our focus is to truly love each other and be faithful to each other’s needs. I have been in this process for over 20 years. Some things fell away quickly others have taken years. I fully trust the Holy Spirit and His Body to lead me the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.
To properly build again we must return to the Cornerstone and realign everything to Him. His foundation is love not the fickle soil of human invented doctrines and traditions. We must be honest with ourselves and realize we have been trying to build on sand.
Remember since the real Church, the Body of Christ on earth is the pillar and ground of the truth our safety will be found there.
May the Lord help us in this process!
Much Love,
Jose L. Bosque
